I am excited to share with you why affirmations don’t work based on my personal/ business/ and spiritual development and what I often see when I am working with clients that have “failed” in using affirmations. I will share with you the number one reason why affirmations don’t work and give you a fool proof way to make affirmations work for you.

What are Affirmations?

Affirmations are keywords that affirm how you want to feel, think, and produce around you. These keywords are fueled with intentions to help you feel and become who you are destined to be.

I am beautiful
I am bountiful
I am blissful

That is a set of affirmations I used to remind me of who I am in love and spirit. Affirmations can be used in all areas of your life, your relationships, your finances, studies, and so much more. With affirmations you call in what you desire, therefore affirmations are powerful and always working in your favor IF you know how to use them correctly. Unfortunately, people don’t know how to effectively use affirmations including myself once upon a time hence we are going to make affirmations work for your highest and sweetest good.

People get gunned-ho’ed about their goals and purpose in life and turn to affirmations to help keep them on track and focused on the prize, they use affirmations to instill new beliefs within them and then somehow fall short, and this is where affirmations don’t work.

Why affirmations don’t work

Affirmations are not designed to cover up old beliefs and perceptions about yourself and the world around you. Allow me to break it down for you.

Imagine a closet, this closet is your subconscious mind. This is where most of your thinking comes from.

So I am going to focus on the trash, the trash is the biggest and smallest emotional experiences that have shaped your beliefs about yourself, the world, your perception about yourself and the world, and you act and make decisions accordingly.

Those emotional experiences can be a death, a divorce, physical and emotional trauma, a high school break-up or not getting a high enough score on the ACT.

Those cute tree air fresheners that go in the car, or those Glade smell good doo hickies, represent affirmations.

When you don’t take the time to properly siff and recycle that trash in the closet, it begins to smell, so what do we do to hide the smell? You throw an air freshener in there, and when it begins to smell again you throw another, and another.

AGAIN Affirmations (air fresheners)  are not designed to cover up old beliefs and perceptions (trash)  about yourself and the world around you that has been stored in your subconscious (closet).

The trashy smell will never go away until you take out and sort out the trash, hence, affirmations will never work until you work on the negative limiting beliefs that keep you from your greatness.

So ask yourself
Am I using affirmations to cover up and bulldoze through the pain so I can achieve?

Or

Am I using affirmations to call in my desires because I know who I AM?!
If your answer below is a YES. YOU SLAY BOO BOO!
IF your answer above is a yes, YOU SLAY BOO BOO!

Healing must take place and be done to release negative beliefs that are holding you back because if you don’t take the time to “clean out the closet” then achieving that goal will not mean anything to you, I promise. I have witnessed successful people achieve the stars and moons with affirmations and not have inner happiness and inner peace because they have a bunch of smelly trash lingering.

In my video I guide you through an inner work exercise that I do with the people that I mentor, do this and watch your world unfold.

Do you use affirmations? If so for what?
